Some previously available on 7" reissue from the same source, it has to be said, but welcome nevertheless.

Nature Boy (Nat King Cole tune)
Go Deh Right
Changing (from the Children in Exile LP - killer bassline)
He Ain't Coming
Weedfields

Vocals of all but the third on the Doing It Right LP, Go Deh Right, He Ain't Coming and Weedfields previously reissued by GB on 7".

All out now. The Weedfields has a wicked dubplate (Dub Fields) on the B-side, apparently by Scientist, but it doesn't sound like him. Nor does it seem to be the same as the Crucial Bunny / Scientist Dub Duel LP track (Burn Them), a crackly version of which Gaffa put out on his earlier 7" reissue.

Can anyone confirm if the Weedfields dub on the new reissue 12" is from the original 7" on Rockers Plantation?

Never having heard the Rockers Plantation, I couldn't say (I see you asked a similar question back in 2009 about the 7" reissue...).

There are two dubs on the new Gaffa Blue 12", one straight after the vocal on the A-side, the other the aforementioned Dub Fields B-side, which has some whooshing phaser, if that helps.

For comparison, here's a sample of the Gaffa Blue 7" reissue: https://www.dubvendor.co.uk/desi-roots- ... 7560-p.asp . And here's the LP track (from 25:40) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDHfEBK72L4 .

Ha, so I did, I have always had the Hawkeye 12" but I have been after the 7" for at least 25 years after a kind friend rubbed it onto cassette for me. A good reissue of the original 7" would be fine.

Thank you very much Dr Watt, the reissue Hawkeye 12" is the same as the original Hawkeye 12", the reissue flip side is the dub from the Dub Duel LP, same as the previous 7" reissue so yeah the hunt for the Rockers Plantation version continues...

'Fraid I'd have to disagree - the Dub Fields mix is subtly different from the Dub Duel one (which I've listened to again) because of the whooshing phaser I mentioned, which you can hear from 2:45 on in the Dub Vendor clip of the new 12". There's a similar effect on the Shaka mix of Human Cargo's Carry Us Beyond (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hq6-gPBUkRw ).
